Denise Zompa paints colorful, contemporary landscapes. The focus is on color, texture, and juicy paint. Her paintings of marshes, fields, and harbors are serene uninhabited landscapes that invite the viewer to enjoy their tranquility.
Denise holds a BA in Art and Elementary Education and a MA in Education; she has continued her study of art at Rhode Island School of Design and the Newport Art Museum. She is a retired art educator and has been an instructor at Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI and the Coleman School at Newport Art Museum in Newport, RI.
Denise lives in on the cape in Barnstable, MA and is a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Center.
